FotoTime FotoAlbum 7.0 Press Release

FotoTime Announces FotoAlbum Version 7.0

Version 7.0 adds integration with Facebook and support for Microsoft SQL Server

DALLAS, TX - Dec 15, 2011 - FotoTime, Inc., a leading provider of digital photo and video solutions, introduces Version 7 of its FotoAlbum software. Major enhancements to FotoAlbum 7 include Facebook integration, PDF management, and support for Microsoft SQL server database. FotoAlbum builds on the success of FotoAlbum 6 by allowing users to better annotate and search large photo and video collections.

FotoAlbum integrates with Facebook to allow you to upload photo directly to your Facebook account. Unlike other photo applications that upload to Facebook, FotoAlbum retains your album information so photos are more easily organized within your Facebook albums.

In addition to Facebook integration, FotoAlbum 7 adds better support for metadata searching. FotoAlbum imports all photo metadata into its photo library database, and searches can be instantly done on almost any EXIF, IPTC, or XMP metadata value. You can also create smart albums which are built from saved searches and which automatically add or remove photos as photo metadata is updated. For example, you could build smart albums for photos that were taken with a 50mm lens and that had the flash on.

FotoAlbum 7 also adds support for Microsoft SQL server for it library storage. While still supporting the lightning fast SQLite database that FotoAlbum 6 introduced, adding support for Microsoft SQL Server makes FotoAlbum work better in multi-user and network environments, opening up the door for enterprise infrastructures. And with support for PDF documents, FotoAlbum now adds document management to its existing media management capabilities.

"We think that FotoAlbum 7 builds on the success of FotoAlbum 6 with an array of new features making it the perfect tool for users wanting to organize their growing photo, video, and document libraries," said Jeff Kelling, FotoTime co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. "FotoAlbum's features allow users to do more with their photos, including sharing photos online, editing them, e-mailing them, exporting albums to html, and even uploading to Facebook."

FotoAlbum provides the power to manage a lifetime of images by maintaining an easily searched database that includes albums, keywords, captions, ratings, dates, GPS locations, and other information stored in EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata. In addition to FotoAlbum's organizational capabilities, FotoAlbum also includes photo editing, batch processing, slideshows, print ordering and more. FotoAlbum's synchronization technology replicates photos and videos to portable devices as well as FotoTime's FotoShare and FotoStudio services for sharing or selling images online.
